Not all violence is physical. According to geographer Prof Mustafa Dikeç (École d'Urbanisme de Paris) it can also be embedded in the way our society is organised. People from marginalised groups, for example, are more likely to be affected by economic crises than others. Dikeç talks about the importance of recognising discrimination and inequality as violence.
