Zijn werk omvat filosofische logica, epistemologie en cognitiewetenschap. Zijn onderzoek richt zich voornamelijk op logisch en wiskundig pluralisme, het begrip ‘begrensd’ rationeel geloof en logische oplossingen voor paradoxen. Naast deze onderzoeksgebieden is hij ook geïnteresseerd in het pre-Qin-taoïsme en het vroege boeddhisme.
