Science Snack | Where did all the antimatter go?
Antimatter is still one of the biggest mysteries in science. It is a material just like matter, but antiparticles have opposite charges. When a particle and an antiparticle collide, they both annihilate. according to theory, antimatter and matter should be created in equal amounts at the big bang. They should have annihilated each other totally in the first second or so of the universe's existence. We would not even be able to exist. Yet, here we are. So where did all the antimatter go?
