The idea of leaving everything behind to pursue a life in the wild, appeals to many. Where does our fascination for wild nature come from?

The idea of leaving everything behind to pursue a life in the wild, appeals to many. Where does our fascination for wild nature come from? Does it really offer a way out of the perils of modern life? We'll watch together 'Into the Wild' a film based on the book by Jon Krakauer on the true story of Chris McCandless. Intro by environmental philosopher Dr Martin Drenthen (RU).

This movie screening is sold out. But sometimes ‘purchased’ tickets are returned. Also, if the weather permits it, we will screen the movie outside and an extra 30 tickets are available. Therefore: register for the waiting list on the ticketsite.

Organised in collaboration with Utrecht University Museum, Brommerbios & entrepreneurs Utrecht Museum Quarter.
