The coronavirus pandemic

About this series

2020

The coronavirus pandemic is the most significant health emergency of our time. Not the first, not the last and maybe not even the most horrific. And yet it is the first virus to spread this fast on a global scale. Within months, nearly all countries in the world had reported cases, and public health policies were issued that have deeply affected our daily lives. How do we control the virus? What consequences does a crisis like this have for political decision-making? And how do we give meaning to a shared sense of vulnerability and uncertainty?

With our colleagues of UMC Utrecht we bring you a collection of interdisciplinary webinars about the corona outbreak and its implications, with perspectives from the biomedical sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities.
